Galaxy Digital has launched a crypto-backed portfolio line of credit that allows eligible GalaxyOne clients to borrow cash against their cryptocurrency holdings without selling.

The GalaxyOne Crypto Portfolio Line of Credit combines eligible assets as collateral, allowing clients to tap liquidity for expenses or investments while remaining invested in crypto. Eligible clients can borrow against their bitcoin (BTC), ether (ETH) and solana (SOL), including staked SOL, through a single revolving line of credit without selling those assets, thereby enabling tax-efficient liquidity.

The new product is designed for investors who want to remain invested in crypto while "avoiding the burden and hurdles" that come with selling digital assets, according to the firm.

"We're excited to bring a competitive crypto-backed borrowing product to market via our growing retail platform," Zac Prince, managing director of GalaxyOne, said in a press release. "By leveraging Galaxy’s institutional infrastructure, we are able to offer competitive rates, security and flexibility with our new crypto portfolio line of credit product."

The product carries no origination fee and an 8.99% APR, offers instant funding in USD or USDC, does not rehypothecate collateral and is initially available in 40 U.S. states.

Galaxy's (GLXY) offering joins a suite of similar products on the market. Ledn has long offered bitcoin-backed loans in USD, USDC and other currencies. Coinbase lets eligible users borrow against crypto without selling, advertising rates as low as 5%, while Nexo Credit Line allows users to combine BTC, ETH, and more as collateral for a credit line.

Earlier this year, Galaxy expanded its crypto lending offerings with the launch of GOFR, a managed lending program for institutions, high-net-worth individuals and accredited investors.

Galaxy launched GalaxyOne in October 2025 as a unified platform and app offering crypto and stock trading to users in all U.S. states.
